Vernon Township High School will present its Fall production of Up the Down Staircase Nov. 2 and 3, 2018.
Based on a novel by Bel Kaufman, the story centers on an idealistic English teacher in a bureaucratic inner city school. The title comes from a reason one of her students was punished, for going “up the down staircase.” The 1967 film version starred Sandy Dennis as the teacher.
The VTHS production features the talents of students Alex Bizanzio, Blake Harrsch, Jordan Ramos and Cole Beckendorf, Nathan Fitch, Ryan Spadafina and Reyna Whitty.
Tickets are available at http://vths.seatyourself.biz and are $12 online and $15 at the door.
Show dates are Friday, Nov. 2 and Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m.
