Vernon native married in Pennsylvania

Meghan Mabey, daughter of Robert and Marybeth Mabey, of Highland Lakes and Antony Palaia, son of Arthur and Kathleen Palaia of Westminster, Md., were married on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at the Barn on Bridge in Collegeville, Pa.
The maids of honor were the bride's closest friends, Meghan (Griffin) DeWitt and Colleen (Sweeney) Price, and the bride's sister, Lauren Jackson, and sister-in-law, Bridget Mabey, were bridesmaids, as well as friends Colleen Evans, Michelle Potter and Jillian Garza.
The groom's best man was his brother, Michael Palaia, and his brothers-in-law, Devin Wigington, Timothy Carter, Charles Van Horn, Tyler Lane and Marco Braeutigam were groomsmen, as well as close friend Nathaniel Garza.
The bride and groom are both graduates of Salisbury University, where they studied English and Biology, respectively.
The bride is a freelance copywriter and the groom is a surfboard shaper and repairman in Ocean City, New Jersey.
The couple plans to honeymoon in Italy in October 2018, and, afterwards, will continue enjoying life at the beach.
