Andrew Joseph Ricciardi Sr. of Highland Lakes, N.J., passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020. He was 78.
Born to Andrew and Anna Ricciardi in Paterson, N.J., he had lived in West Paterson before moving to the Highland Lakes section of Vernon Township, N.J., in 1999.
Andrew served with the U.S. Army from 1960-1962. He owned and operated Boro Mower in North Haledon, N.J., and Mr. Chimney Clean in Haledon, N.J., for 15 years before working as a concrete truck driver for Hinchman Concrete in Wayne, N.J., retiring in 2013. Andrew was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Highland Lakes, N.J., an exempt member of the North Haledon Fire Department that he served for 40 years, and took great joy in the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping.
Andrew is the beloved husband of 13 years, and was together with for 33 years, Patrice Ricciardi (nee Lust); devoted father of A.J. Ricciardi and his wife, Laurie, of North Haledon, N.J., Joseph M. Ricciardi of Wayne, N.J., Randolph F. Iannacone and his wife, Erin, of New York, N.Y., and Rebecca Blic-Iannacone and her husband, Frederic, of Warwick, N.Y.; loving grandfather of Joseph, Jasen, Matthew, Julia, Leonardo, and Vincenzo; and dear brother of Catherine Van Olden and her husband, William, of Florida.
The family will receive their friends for a “walk-through” visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. State regulations allow for 75 people in the funeral home at any one time, and face coverings are required by all who enter. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Highland Lakes. State regulations allow for 50 people in the church for the Mass and face coverings are required by all who enter. Cremation will be private.
