Edward Q. Kern died on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021, at The Homestead in Newton, N.J. He was 89.
Born in East Weissport, Pa., he lived in Netcong, N.J., for the last 69 years.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Kern worked at Sakrete and at Shop-Rite of Newton prior to retiring. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Kern of Netcong; his children, Patricia Halstead, Delroy Kern and his wife, Darnel, and Edward Kern Jr. and his wife, Peggy; and his grandson, Delroy Kern Jr.
Visitation was held Feb. 21 at Morgan Funeral Home, Netcong. A funeral service immediately followed at the funeral home.
