Estelle Marie Lehmkuhl (nee Bulzomi) of Byram, N.J., passed away on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021. She was 81.

She was born on Sept. 27, 1939, to Dominick and Betty Bulzomi in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Estelle is predeceased by her parents; brother Ralph Bulzomi; and ex-husband Richard Clayton Sr.

Estelle had been a resident of Byram since 1967. She was a cook at the PatAl Inn, which later became The Galley. There she met her love, Carl Lehmkuhl. They were married on Nov. 10, 1990, and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.

Estelle was a teacher’s aide at Oak Tree PreSchool in Sparta, N.J., for 18 years. She was known and loved as “Stellie” to many children, parents and co-workers.

Estelle loved her family, her friends and her home. She is survived by her husband, Carl Lehmkuhl; son, Richard Clayton Jr.; daughter, Lisa Stromp; son-in-law, Kurt Stromp; grandchildren, Lindsay Clayton and her fiance, Vito Amato, Nicholas Clayton, Abigail Clayton, and Jules Bursee and her fiance, Allie Davis; along with many loved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
