Jayne E. Blum

Jayne E. Blum of Sparta, N.J., passed away after a short illness surrounded by her loving family on Sept. 5, 2020. She was 65.

Jayne was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and lived in Hawthorne and Mine Hill before moving to Sparta in 1993. She was a graduate of Misericordia Hospital School of Nursing in the Bronx, N.Y. Jayne worked as a Registered Nurse in the ICU in Montefiore Medical Center; Misericordia Medical Center; Lincoln Hospital and Lawrenceville Hospital, all in New York. In New Jersey Jayne worked in the Cardiac Rehab unit at St. Clare’s Hospitals in Dover and Denville; Hackensack Medical Center and started the Cardiac Rehab program at the Lakeland Hills YMCA in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. She was an involved parent by acting as a substitute school nurse and class mom. She loved to read, travel, cook and tend to her loving pets.

Jayne is survived by her loving husband of 35 years Donald W. Blum; devoted son Jeffrey J. Blum; brother Raymond Uhrlass; sister-in-law Karen Anthony; her dear friend Frankie Gabriele and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Sept. 10 at the Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, followed by a funeral service.
