Patricia Ryan, 45, passed on to be with our Lord on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2020, after a long illness.

She passed peacefully with the accompaniment of loving prayers from her Church, family and many friends.

Patricia was born to Robert and Joyce Ryan on Feb. 22, 1975. Patricia was pre-deceased by her father, Robert Ryan, in 2000. She is survived by her mother Joyce Ryan-McCormack, her step-father Fred McCormack and her two loving sisters, Kathleen Ryan and Kaitlyn McCormack, and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kathleen was instrumental in leading Patricia in the development of her faith.

Patricia was raised in Warwick, N.Y., prior to relocating to Queens to pursue her MSW degree, which she earned in 2012. Sadly, Patricia was never able to pursue her chosen career due to debilitating illness.

Patricia lived her life with vigor and determination, overcoming constantly evolving health challenges with bravery and a cheerful loving manner.

Patricia enjoyed traveling, going to Spain, Italy, France, Ireland, Poland and South America.

Patricia loved animals, especially cats and cows. One of her life’s most special moments was being invited to milk a cow at the Penning’s Farm on Christmas day 2018. She especially enjoyed being invited back in the spring to meet the newborn calves.

We owe a special debt of gratitude to Jack Penning’s for making this dream come true.

Patricia will be missed by all who knew her. She lived a life of faith and faced obstacles with bravery and a zest for life.

A Memorial Service were held at the Highlands Bible Church, Vernon, N.J., on Sept. 13.

Patricia’s family requests that in lieu of flowers, any donations be sent to a local food pantry, My Brother’s Place, P.O. Box 1003, Vernon, NJ 07462.

Funeral arrangements were arranged by Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, N.Y.
