Terry Evan Sanders of West Milford, N.J., passed away peacefully in the evening on Friday, March 5, 2021. He was 60 years old.

He was born on Aug. 28, 1960, in Pompton Plains, N.J. He grew up and spent most of his life in West Milford, N.J., and parts of his life in Vernon, N.J.

Terry worked as a cabinet maker and a wood craftsman in the wood working industry for the majority of his life; he took immense pride in all of his constructions.

He was an avid outdoorsman, particularly through hunting, fishing and relishing in natures ambiance.

Terry was always ready to spark up a conversation with anyone who would listen and would always have one more thing to say even though you said goodbye several times. He was never afraid to let his inner child shine through, especially around his granddaughters.

Every chance he had he would thank God for everything that he was given in his life, whether it was a chance to see a movie in the theatre or eating an ice cream cone on the first day of Spring.

After all the trials and tribulations in his life he reaffirmed his faith, and this was what guided him through every moment thereafter.

Prior to his passing he said: “I believe in God’s choices and whenever he thinks its time to come and take my hand to lead me, I’m ready. God bless all my family and friends!”

Terry was predeceased by his father Edward Sanders Jr., his brother Todd E. Sanders and his sister Tami E. Sanders.

Terry is survived by his fiancé Tracy Rottkamp; his mother Joyce Sanders; his loving daughters Stephanie Wramage (Paul) and Sheena Covert; his adored granddaughters Destiny, Isabella, Rylee and Mia; his brothers Tab Sanders and Tracy Sanders and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that he held dear to his heart.
