Holy Counselor Lutheran Church will be holding its first golf outing at Black Bear Golf Club on Sept. 18.

This will bring together great friends, loyal community partners, and dear family and church members for a day of challenging golf to benefit the ministries of our congregation. The food pantry supplies bags of food to local families. The outing gives financial support to The Samaritan Inn in Newton, NJ, and ELCA World Hunger and Lutheran Disaster Response non-profits.

The day’s events include: a continental breakfast, 18 holes of golf (using carts), roaming beverage cart, buffet luncheon, prizes, a silent auction, which includes a Samsung 50” TV, Amazon Echo, a Grand Cascades Lodge golf package, and many gift certificates to area restaurants and merchants. To add a little more excitement to the day, there will be a variety of contests with great prizes.

Registration deadline has been extended. Sign up now to reserve a place for your foursome or to come out for the lunch at 1:30 p.m. and participate in the silent auction and door prizes.

You must have a paid and confirmed reservation prior to the day of the event. Go to hc-lutheranchurch.org/golf_reg.html to print a registration form, or you may call 973-827-5251 for information or to reserve your place.
