Vernon hosts snowshoe invasion

Blue Skies, fresh made snow and 97 pairs of snowshoes trekking across the mountain highlighted the 2019 Vernon Township Viking Snowshoe Invasion.
Mayor Harry Shortway and Mountain Creek Lift Ops Manager Chris Haggerty gave the signal and the race was on.
Medals were awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female runners and walkers, as well as prizes for the most spirited and most creative in their Viking garb.
