The Vernon Township High School Athletic Department has named its Athletes of the Week for second week of the fall 2019 season.

Junior Aden Moskovitz had 7 catches for 175 yards, 4 rushes for 18 yards, 5 tackles and 1 interception in Vernon’s 28-25 win over West Milford on Friday night.

According to Coach Down, Aden is willing to play any positions that will benefit the team. He is an extremely hard worker and his off-season commitment to football has established him as one of the leaders of the team and program.

Senior Captain Haley DeBonta has been instrumental in the varsity field hockey’s 5-0 start to the season. She scored one of the two goals in the Vikings 2-1 win over perennial power Newton on Friday.

Haley has started all four years in the midfield position for Vernon.

According to Coach Killeen, Haley’s ability, leadership and experience have been vital in the success of the program.

Haley is also a member of the girl’s basketball and lacrosse programs.
