An award winning photo

SussexBank head teller Krystal Shadis, a Stillwater resident, displays her award-winning print of a winter scene captured at Waterwheel Farm in Fredon. She earned first prize in the Sussex County Fair’s 2009 photo contest, advanced amateur division, in the “places” category. The self-taught photographer used a digital camera to capture the scene, and converted the image to black and white for her submission. An aspiring pro, Shadis also works part-time at the Wanamaker Photography studio. The prize-winning photo will be on display at SussexBank’s Sparta branch throughout the month of September.
