Andover Township pageant taking entries

Andover — Little Miss and Mr. Andover Township Pageant will be held at the Hillside Park Hall at 1 p.m. on June 7. Andover Township children between the ages of 3 and 6 are invited to participate. The winners of the title will represent the township at the Little Royalty and Sweetheart’s Presentation held during the 2009 New Jersey State Fair in August. Women who are township residents between the ages of 17 and 21 may participate in Miss Andover Township Pageant at 3 p.m. the same day, same location. The winner represents the township at the Queen of the Fair contest during the Fair. Cash awards, gift certificates, and more are part of a prize package given to the winner and runners-up. At 4 p.m., try outs for the local talent search will be at the same location. Those picked will perform at County Talent Day at Fair. First place winners in each division are eligible to compete on the county level. There is a children’s division (through age 9), juniors (ages 10 through 15), and adults. Applications available at www.andovertwp.org and must be received at the municipal building by May 27.
