Apple Pie contest to debut at Stillwater Fall Fest

    STILLWATER — An apple pie baking competition will be debuted as part of the Stillwater Historical Society’s annual Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3. Amateur bakers are encouraged to enter either a single or double crust apple pie. Contestants will bake two pies: one to be judged and one to be sold. All pies should be dropped off at the Stillwater Presbyterian Church kitchen by noon on October 3. Award winners will be announced at 2 p.m. after which slices of the home-baked pies will be sold a-la-mode and the winning pies auctioned off to the highest bidder.
