Battle of the Bands to raise anti-tobacco awareness

Newton — The Sussex County Technical School Chapter of REBEL students will host a Battle of the Bands on April 25, at 5 p.m. REBEL (Reaching Everyone By Exposing Lies) is a New Jersey youth anti-tobacco movement. The students have organized the event in order to raise awareness of the dangers of tobacco use and the lies told by Big Tobacco. They wanted to have a healthy activity that could be shared by all area high school students. The event will place in McNiece Auditorium, a big venue for these new bands to showcase their talent. Doors open at 5 p.m. and admission is $5 per person.
