Boogie to fight hunger

Get out the bell bottoms and dust off the platform shoes ANDOVER Partnership for Social Services Family Center is sponsoring its second annual Dancing To Fight Hunger, a dinner dance Catered by Irish Cottage Inn, Saturday, Oct. 10 from 6 to 12 p.m. at Hillside Park, 150 Lake Iliff Road in Andover. The cost is $30 per person and there will be a cash bar. Hunger does not discriminate. Currently, the center is serving multiple families and anticipates a larger number of families in need. With the upcoming winter months and holiday seasons, they are expecting greater demands for services. Donations assist the Partnership for Social Services Family Center to achieve their mission of meeting the needs of those less fortunate in the community. Tickets can be purchased at the following locations or call the office at 973-827-4702. In a fight to suppress hunger, the following community retailers are accepting donations: Franklin: Dunkin Donuts, In & Out Convenient Store, Sparta: Mohawk Gardens, Villa Capri, 7-Eleven, Liquor Factory, Green’s Beans, Garlic & Oil, Hunan Wok, Frank Pizza, Café Pierrot, Positano Italian Bakery, Upper Mohawk Deli, Newton: Hampton Diner, Dollars R Us, Andersen Farms (Lafayette, Sparta & Sussex).
