Wayne - William Paterson University’s Vistas Series Family Scene will present the musical “Mother Nature’s Quest” on Sunday, April 26, on the University’s campus in Wayne. The production will be staged by Connecticut Children’s Theatre. The performance, part of the university’s Earth Week celebration, will be held at 2 p.m. in Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus. Tickets are $9. Come early for fun pre-show activities included with admission beginning at 1:15 p.m.; the production will be followed by a post-show autograph session. In this fun-filled musical for pre-K through third graders, Mother Nature must search for Earth Crusaders to help the earth. Educational and entertaining, the production covers many different environmental issues including air pollution, destruction of the ozone, depletion of trees, recycling, and the extinction of animals. More importantly, the children will learn how they can help. Mother Nature even demonstrates how to make your very own compost heap. The event is part of William Paterson’s Vistas Family Scene Series, designed to serve the surrounding multicultural community, as well as the university’s students and faculty. Other Earth Week activities include “Celebrate the Earth,” a student-sponsored event that will be held on April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Commons multi-purpose room.
