Choral society concert features ‘South Pacific'

    Vernon — The Community Choral Society will present its spring concert, At the Water’s Edge, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The program will feature selections from Rogers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific,” as well as a collection of traditional selections of music from America and the British Isles. Director Danielle Kastner will conduct the concert, with pianist Eleanore O’Mara, of Vernon, accompanying on piano, and guest pianist, Cherwyn Ambuter, performing a selection of impressionist pieces. Refreshments will be served after the concert. Funding has been made available in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, through the State/County Partnership Block Grant Program, as administered by the Sussex County Arts and Heritage Council.
