College will host NJ Ballet

    Newton — The New Jersey Ballet Company will perform highlights of Tchaivkovsky’s three great ballets at Sussex County Community College on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. “Swan Lake,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “The Nutcracker” are the featured excerpts for the performance. Currently celebrating its 50th anniversary season, the NJ Ballet is a company of 20 professional artists of international reputation. The dancers hail from nine countries: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Japan, Russia, Tartarstan, Zaire and the United States. They have toured on every continent with such companies as the Bolhsoi Ballet, the Russian National Ballet, Ballet Argentino, the Russian Imperial Ballet and the Royal Ballet.
