Customers bead together at Carriage House
Andover Lindsey Roach, the new owner of Carriage House Beads, offers instruction, inspiration and enthusiasm for those interested in the world of beading. Her interest in beading started as a way of finding something special for her and her nine-year-old daughter to enjoy together. Beading seemed like a chance to spend some time together and soon mother and daughter were visiting shops together and learning the art of beading while having some girl fun. Originally from Gulfport, Miss., Roach moved to New Jersey four years ago. She saw Carriage House Beads, fell in love at first sight and a short time later became the new owner of the country shop. “I think that it’s important for mothers and daughters to find some common ground to enjoy themselves while enjoying each other,” said Roach. “I would love for the Carriage House to be a get-away for mothers and daughters of all ages to come and fill their heads with inspiration while laughing, learning and loving.” The shop carries a mix of all things handmade, from thousands of beads and findings, handmade jewelry, pottery and creations by local artists. Classes are offered for anyone who would like to learn to bead and the newly remodeled party room provides a place for birthday parties, tea parties, Girl Scout activities, children’s activities and ladies nights out. The shop is located at 124 Main St., in Andover. For more information, call 973-786- 6177 or visit www.carraigehousebeads.com.
