Elks seek participants for July 4 parade

Sparta — The Sparta Elks are continuing the long time Sparta Township tradition by hosting this year’s community parade. All interested participants are required to pre-register. Contact the Elks at spartaelks2356@hotmail.com or call Anthony Alfonso at 973-827-0075 or Pete Appaluccio at 973-726-7818. The Elks are currently seeking musical units to participate in the parade. The parade participants will line up above Spring Brook Trail, continue on East Shore Trail through the Lake Mohawk Plaza ending at the Mohawk Avenue School where the Elks are planning a full day of family activities. The Sparta Elks holds its parade meetings every Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Elks located at 6 West Shore Trail.
