Farm will host potato planting party

Montague — Upper Meadows Farm invites the community to celebrate Earth Day by getting their hands dirty planting organic potatoes in Montague, on Saturday, April 25, in two shifts, beginning at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The farm is inviting all of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members, their guests, as well as all friends of the farm, to help them get 10 varieties of potatoes in the ground. Potato planting is a family-friendly activity and a learning experience for kids of all ages. Begun in 1987, Upper Meadows Farm has been devoted to sustainable holistic agriculture and has been certified organic since 1991. Advanced registration is required for this event.
