SPARTA-The Good Times Band, one of New Jersey's most popular entertainment acts, will be celebrating its 15th anniversary on Jan. 8, at Arthur's St. Moritz, located in Sparta. "It is unusual for a regional band to stay together for such a long period of time," said Michael McCormack, Music Director and creator of the Good Times Band. "One of the successes of the band is the ability to play almost every genre of music, making our sound and our act, a very eclectic and friendly entertainment group." The Good Times Band was created in 1990 by McCormack. The group quickly amassed a selection of material from over 200 songs ranging from oldies to current material and began performing at local venues in and around the Morristown area. The band is comprised of McCormack, as the lead guitarist, vocalist and music director, Les Piela, bass player and vocalist, Ken Lieberman on keyboards drummer Steven Pizzarelli, and Anne Cavalleri as the lead vocalist.
