Newton — Ginnie’s House, the Sussex County Children’s Advocacy Center, recently held its 12th annual children’s holiday party. Over 150 people attended the event that was held at the First Presbyterian Church in Newton. A buffet dinner with dessert and hot chocolate was prepared by the Sussex County Technical School’s culinary art’s program. A DJ provided the holiday music while the children participated in arts and crafts, as Santa was there handing out gifts to all those who attended the event. Many thanks go out to all the individuals and organizations that made donations of gifts for the holiday party: the Telecom Pioneers NJ Chapter 139, for its generous cash donation; First Energy in Newton and Specialty Surgical Center in Sparta, who donated presents and gift cards; and residents of Bristol Glenn, who donated handmade sock monkey dolls.
