West Milford — Christmas comes early this year to West Milford. At least on stage it does. The West Milford Players’ fall show, “It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, Miracle on 34th St., The Musical,” takes to the stage Nov. 13-15 and 20-22. Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m. and Sunday shows are 2 p.m. Kris Kringle takes on the cynics among us in this musical adaptation of the popular holiday favorite. A white-bearded gentleman claiming to be the real Santa Claus brings about a genuine “Miracle on 34th St.,” spreading a wave of love throughout New York City, fostering camaraderie between Macy’s and Gimbel’s Department Stores, and convincing a divorced, cynical single mother, her somber daughter and the entire state of New York that Santa Claus is no myth. Advanced tickets are highly recommended and can be ordered by calling the West Milford Players Hotline at 973-697-4400. All performances are at the Hillcrest Community Center, 1810 Macopin Road, West Milford. Some proceeds are to be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand to find a cure for childhood cancer. “We are so proud to start our 30th season with this well-known classic,” said Erika Crocco, president of The West Milford Players. “People of all ages have enjoyed Miracle on 34th St. over the years and now they can see it live with toe tapping songs and dances. This is one show that is sure to please all. We are especially proud to be able to donate some of the proceeds to Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a foundation dedicated to finding a cure for Childhood Cancer. “We hope that everyone from 2-102 will come out to start the holiday season with us by seeing this fabulous show and we wish all a wonderful holiday season,” Crocco said.
