Jane Mangini joins ‘Tunes Along the Towpath’ lineup

Lackawaxen. Tickets are still available for the Pike County Historical Society’s all-day music event to be held from 1 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 26, in the fields behind historic Lock House 16 on Towpath Road in Glen Eyre, along the Lackawaxen River.

“Tunes Along the Towpath” will feature three bands. In between sets Jane Mangini, a member of the wildly popular Trans Siberian Orchestra, will be playing keyboards. She has recently released two new CDs.

In 2020 she collaborated with Trans-Siberian Orchestra/Savatage and former Metal Church drummer Jeff Plate on his new project Alta Rein, whose debut album “Mother’s Day” was released on Jan. 8 by Rat Pak Records.

The ticket price of $65 includes music, parking, food and libations. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the day.

The musical lineup pays homage to the qualities the make this area along the Lackawaxen so unique and beautiful:

● Little Big Band, 1 p.m. — Up-tempo swing music.

● The Scott Weis Band, 3 p.m. — Blues music.

● Fred Zepplin Band, 5 p.m. — Rock and roll.
