John Sheehan will perform lute music from the Renaissance in the Community Room of the Sussex-Wantage Library at 2 p.m., Dec. 1.

Known for his stunning finger-style guitar playing and his light-hearted humor, he will explore another of his musical loves with a program of music played on the lute, a guitar-like stringed instrument very popular from the 1500's to the present day.

The Sussex-Wantage Library is located just south of Sussex near the Sussex Airport at 69 Route 639. The event is free, and no registration is required. John's program is sponsored by the Friends of the Sussex-Wantage Library (FOTL), a nonprofit volunteer group that supports the work of the library. For further information or last-minute notifications, please check the FOTL website at FriendsofSWLibrary.org or the Facebook page at “Friends of Sussex-Wantage Library,” or call the library at 973-875-3940.
