SPARTA — The parishioners at Blessed Kateri R.C. Church in Sparta are at it again. Their annual variety show, known as Kateri Kapers, will be held on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21 at 7:15 p.m. at the Reverend Brown School. This year’s theme is a Night on the Town. Kateri Kapers is in its seventh season. Director Pat O’Malley boasts this year’s show will be the best ever. This year, Pastor Reverend Patrick Rice will take the helm as he makes his debut on stage. Live music will be provided by Equinox, a well-known local band, during and after the show. Kateri Kapers was launched in 2004 by Reverend Albert Nix as an evening of fun and laughter where the community comes together and enjoys a fun-filled evening. Members of the audience are welcome to bring their own food and drink. Since the affair is BYOB, you must be 21 or older to attend. This year, a prize will be awarded each night for the most exotic fare —judges will be roaming the room to sample the refreshments. Tickets are available at the parish office. Single tickets $15; two for $25; or eight tickets for the price of seven. Tickets will also be available at the door — single tickets $20 or two for $30.
