SPARTA — Rev. Brown School second grader, Peter Griffith, had an operation to remove a brain tumor on April 29 and is being treated at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York. In order to help Pete, friends have organized a fundraiser selling light blue wristbands that read SuperPete. The wristbands were donated by the families in his second grade class and all proceeds will be donated to Pete. There has been great interest and support by the entire community of schools, churches, sports teams and friends. Bands will be on sale for $2 throughout the community. Donations are also being accepted by the Rev. Brown Parent Guild organization. Checks can be written to the Griffith family or to Rev. Brown School (add Pete Griffith in the memo line) and can be mailed to the school.
