Learn about healing spices with gardeners

Ringwood — Enjoy a cozy winter evening meeting with the Ringwood Garden Club and learn about healing spices. The feature presentation is by Robin Rose Bennett, an experienced teacher and herbalist. Her topic: Healing spices: Herbal medicine in your spice rack. Bennett will share her knowledge of common usable herbs and spices that can be found in our own kitchen cupboards. She will explore the mysteries of the various spices and herbs on our shelves in a hands on program of touching, smelling and tasting. The public is invited to the garden club meetings. Refreshments will be offered and a lovely floral design executed by club member Sandy Tulenko will be on display. It all takes place at the Ringwood Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. Come and enjoy.
