Learn about volunteering at expo
Newton Project Self-Sufficiency will host a Volunteer Expo on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from noon to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 7 p.m. Area residents of all ages are invited to stop by and learn about the many volunteer opportunities available at the non-profit agency, which offers programs for low-income families who are seeking economic self-sufficiency and family stability. Positions for volunteers are available in a variety of areas, including assistance with receptionist and clerical duties, landscaping and grounds maintenance, help with art, music and dance programs at the childcare center, coordinating food drives for the food pantry and help with client transportation. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, or any of the programs and services available at the agency, call Project Self-Sufficiency at 973-940-3500.
