Lilac workshop offered at botanical garden

Ringwood — A hands-on lilac workshop will be held at the New Jersey Botanical Garden at Skylands on Saturday, June 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Members of the garden’s lilac team will be in the extensive lilac collection to work on these sweet-smellng beauties. Join them for a chance to learn by doing, and to get answers to any questions you may have. Volunteers work with expert curator Daniel Ryniec of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to restore and improve the NJ Botanical Garden’s renowned lilac collection.
