Magazine cover honors for Leckie

“Still Life with Top Hat,” an oil painting by local artist Geoffrey Leckie, was recently selected by Connections Magazine for the cover of its September issue. The magazine, which features work by local artists on its covers, is dedicated to promoting entertainment, lifestyle, recreation and the arts in and around northeastern Pennsylvania. Leckie’s work is permanently on exhibit at Gallery By The Green at 103 Spring Street in Newton. In 2007, Leckie collaborated with his sister, Joan Leckie Salvas, to open “Gallery By The Green” in Newton, which is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
