New jazz series kicks off at Adam Todd

Andover - Jazz vocalist-songwriter Laura Hull will open a new jazz series at The Adam Todd Restaurant in Andover on Friday, Jan. 8 beginning at 7 p.m. Hull has been described as a “savvy jazz stylist with a distinct sound.” Her music is drawn from an extensive repertoire of American popular songs, jazz standards, obscure gems, and her original music, according to organizers. Jazz Café host John Bohannon of WRHU Radio said, “we’re lucky to have a performer such as Laura Hull who has the style and grace to keep this great American music alive.” Hull’s trio will offer a full range of jazz selections that run the gamut from up-tempo and swinging to ballads and Bossa nova rhythms. Hull will perform selections featured on her recent CD “Take Me Home.” There is a $20 food and beverage minimum and no music charge. For more information visit www.LauraHull.com or www.adamtodd.com.
