Olde Lafayette Village Farmers Market begins new season on June 28

    LAFAYETTE — The Olde Lafayette Village Farmers Market will open Sunday, June 28 for its 2009 season. Sussex resident Barbara Seelig Brown, cookbook, author, New Jersey Herald food columnist and host of the TV show “Stress Free Cooking.” will cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the 2009 season. Mike and Natalie Berger, owners of Hidden Pastures Farm in Branchville, and who raise alpacas, and will have yarn and fiber products available. Visitors can also meet an alpaca. Each Sunday, buyers can purchase fresh produce, flowers, plants, organically raised meat, eggs, goat’s milk soap, fruit, fresh-baked pies, sauces and fresh salsas, gourmet Italian specialties and much more, all locally grown or produced in Sussex County. The Olde Lafayette Village Farmers Market is open 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each Sunday through Oct. 25. Special events and tastings will take place throughout the season.
