Madison, N.J. — Fairleigh Dickinson University’s College at Florham presents the George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart comedic satire, “Once In A Lifetime” on the Dreyfuss Theater stage. Inspired by the rise of “talking pictures,” “Once in a Lifetime” deals with the excesses of Hollywood in the golden years of movie making and the introduction of talkies. First produced in 1930, the play is still found to be pertinent and funny and revived regularly on and off Broadway, regionally and in Europe. This student production, directed by James Glossman, is sponsored by FDU’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts. Shows are scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21 at 8 p.m. There is a Sunday matinee on Nov. 22 at 2:30 p.m. General admission is $10; $5 for students/seniors. Tickets may be reserved by calling 973-443-8644, press 4, or purchased at the door. A special matinee for high school classes will be held on Friday, Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. Arrangements for high school classes to attend may be made by calling Stephen Hollis, at 973-443-8467.
