‘One Funny Mother' on stage

SUSSEX — Comedienne Dena Blizzard will appear at Sussex County Community College Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 4 and bring her comedy show presenting a “truthful look at the daily life of the American woman.” “One Funny Mother” is Blizzard’s comedic take on marriage, motherhood and the Miss America pageant. She was named 1995’s Miss New Jersey and competed in the Miss America pageant where she ranked in the “top 50.” Since then she has worked as a television host, corporate spokesperson, mother and stand-up comedienne. Previously, Blizzard hosted “Real Simple TV” on PBS based on “Real Simple” magazine and this past year performed stand-up at the United Nations. She juggles her career while raising three children.
