Perez is Artist at the Mill's artist of the month

“Artists at the Mill,” a gallery and performance space with a roster of over 40 artists, has selected Highland Lake resident and award winning artist Rick Perez as April’s “Artist of the Month.” The opening reception is Sunday, April 5 from 3 to 6 p.m. Classically trained, Perez has been drawing, painting, shooting photography and showing his work in the New York metropolitan area for the last 15 years. His “from-life artwork recalls many aspects of traditional painting; yet combines the directness of en plein air with a modern sensibility,” according to gallery officials.
