Peters Valley to hold special event

| 01 Mar 2018 | 03:24

Peters Valley School of Craft will hold a special event March 10, 2018 from 12-4pm in its Sally D. Francisco Gallery. The Pop-Up Shop will feature the work of four local artists with a fashion show held at 2 p.m.
Winter Whimsy provides a fun occasion to break from the midwinter gray and enjoy colorful company, refreshments, and unique art. Debora Meltz, of Newton, N.J. makes ceramic sculptures inspired by fables, myths and religious tales, which are darkly whimsical interpretations of the societal constructs derived from them. Greg Hicho, of Milford, Pa., creates whimsical and out-of-the-ordinary ceramic art tiles, featuring a bright, technicolor palette. Ricky Boscarino of Luna Parc in Sandyston, NJ is a multi-media artist working in jewelry, ceramics and paintings that encapsulate the artist’s playful personality and eclectic taste. Robin Lennon, of Newton, N.J. designs striking and uncommon women’s artwear that reflect the artist’s passion for combining texture, pattern and color.
Winter Whimsy takes place the same day as maple sugar demonstration presented by the Millbrook Village Society, another Park Partner. We encourage visitors to travel out and enjoy the day in the beautiful and scenic Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area where both events are located.
The Gallery at Peters Valley School of Craft is located at 19 Kuhn Rd., Layton, NJ 07851 and is currently open Thursday-Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
