Register now for ‘Walk for Well-Being'

Hardyston — The Sussex County YMCA will kick off “America on the Move” week with a community walk open to all residents on Sunday, Sept. 20 at the fairgrounds in Augusta. Registration, pep rally and warm-up begin at 10:30 a.m. and the “Walk for Well-Being” starts at 11 a.m. All participants will receive a free gift bag of products from “America on the Move” sponsors and the first 100 registered will receive a free T-shirt. The YMCA has partnered with the Sussex County Department of Environmental and Public Health Services for this event and will have professionals on hand for health screenings; YMCA wellness staff members will also be available to answer questions for people of all ages. Nationwide, YMCA’s will track both the number of people who participate and the number of actual steps taken with a goal of 10 billion.
