Sowinski Sullivan Architects designing salt barns

SPARTA-Sowinski Sullivan Architects has been commissioned to design storage facilities at the New Jersey Highway Authority's (NJHA) Paramus and Pleasant Plains Maintenance Facilities. The NJHA operates the 173-mile Garden State Parkway and owns the PNC Bank Arts Center. Sowinski Sullivan Architects has successfully completed several projects for NJHA and after demonstrating its overall experience and qualifications in architectural design and construction coordination, was named NJHA's "On Call" Architect. The salt barns will each have a 2,500-ton capacity. The project, which has been fast-tracked in order for utilization this winter, will include obtaining permits, surveying and topographical studies, and evaluating environmental issues, as well as providing construction support for the field engineer and the Authority during construction.
