Spinning event to benefit brain foundation

    SPARTA — The IES Brain Research Foundation Cycle for Brain Health will hold its “99 Minute Spin Challenge” on Saturday, Feb. 28 beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Sparta Athletic Club on 115 Sparta Rd. Guest spin cycle instructor Lois Burmester will lead the group. The session is designed for all levels and for those 18 years and older. The cost to participate is $99 for 99 minutes, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the IES Brain Research Foundation. Participants will receive a t-shirt and goody bag. Those spinning for 99 minutes will also receive a certificate. Anyone who raises pledges over $99 is eligible for tiered prizes. The IES Brain Research Foundation’s mission is to help advance brain research and education regarding brain function, that will lead to effective treatments for serious brain diseases and conditions.
