Spring concert season

opens tonight, May 1 Members of the Warwick Valley Chorale, under the baton of conductor Stanley Curtis, rehearse earlier this week at the Reformed Church in Warwick, making preparations for their spring concert schedule. The music at this year’s concerts includes “Mass in Time of War” (Paukenmesse) by Franz Joseph Haydn and “Song of America,” an arrangement by Mac Huff which features a medley of America’s traditional, folk, and patriotic songs. The chorale’s concert schedule is: Friday, May 1, at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 62 Windermere Ave., Greenwood Lake; Friday, May 8, at the First Presbyterian Church, 33 Park Place, Goshen; and Sunday, May 10, at the Warwick Reformed Church, 16 Maple Ave., in Warwick.
