Hackettstown — Love the swingin’ strains of a jazz saxophone? Want to meet the actors up close and in person? Ever wondered what went on behind the curtains before the show begins? Centenary Stage Company has the opportunity for you to discover all those things and more, as part of the CSC Volunteer Guild. As Northwest New Jersey’s only year-round, not-for-profit performing arts venue, CSC has positions throughout the year for volunteers who assist the CSC Staff as ushers, concession management, and in general preparations that go into each concert presentation and performance. The best benefit of volunteering is free admittance to the performance on the evenings that one works. Volunteering at CSC is also a resource for Community Service hours for students meeting their service commitments. In July, CSC has openings for ushers and assistants for the four Saturday concerts of the Jazz in July series, on July 11, 18, 25 and Aug. 1. To find our more about volunteering, call Catherine Rust or Pat Lanciano at 908-979-0900.
