Stanhope holiday home decoration contest

STANHOPE — Stanhope residents are invited to decorate the outside of their house or condo for the holidays for whatever holiday is celebrated within their family. To register, call 973-347-0159 ext. 39, and leave the family’s name, street address and phone number on voice mail (speak slowly and spell the last name). Those who see a great looking house or condo in Stanhope can call and nominate them (telephone numbers are not needed.) Entries must be received by 4 p.m. on Dec. 1. Judging will be held Dec. 2 between the hours of 5:30 and 8 p.m. The finalists will be notified they are in the contest to light “the tree” Sunday, Dec. 6 at 5:30 p.m. (rain date: Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.). The winners will be announced at the tree lighting. Runner-up and first place families from each category will receive a gift certificate and the first place families will also have the honor of lighting “the tree.”
