Strenuous Storm King Mountain hike planned

    Set for June 14, from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Ringwood - WWW (Weis Wyanokie Wanderers) hikes are strenuous hikes led by Don Weise. The terrain is steep and the pace is fast. Good cardiovascular fitness is a must. Participants must wear appropriate hiking footwear, dress in layers appropriate for the weather and bring lunch and plenty of fluids. This 9-10 mile hike will take you to Storm King and Breakneck Tower above the Hudson River. You will experience Storm King and Butter Hill from top to bottom on this very challenging and rewarding hike. This hike meets off-site, directions given upon registration. The cost of the WWW hike is $8 per person, with a $3 discount for members of the New Jersey Audubon Society. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.
