The Newton Theatre welcomes back The Machine performing Pink Floyd with an interstellar light and multimedia show on Saturday, July 29, at 8 p.m.
America’s premier Pink Floyd show, has forged a 20-year reputation of excellence, extending the legacy of Pink Floyd, while creating another legacy all their own.
Over the years, The Machine has touched the hearts and souls of many, selling out large clubs and theatres across North and Central America, Europe and Asia. They have also appeared at renowned music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Riverbend, and Germany’s Rock of Ages. The band focuses on making every show an authentic experience for their fans. Known for performing a diverse mix of Pink Floyd’s extensive 16-album repertoire including faithful renditions of popular hits as well as obscure gems, The Machine is spot on with combined stellar musicianship, and dramatic lighting.
The Machine offers a dazzling laser light show that borrows from and builds upon the spectacular presentation of Pink Floyd performances of the ‘70s and ‘80s, using the same company that supplies the lasers for Roger Waters' tours. Each song is meticulously accentuated by the radiant, full-spectrum color lasers creating stunning effects in conjunction with video projected onto a circular screen.
Fan reactions typically range from jubilation to awe and wonder; often discussing the majesty of the show for weeks and months afterward. Such an inspiring reaction would not be possible, however, without the exciting and faithful reproduction and recreation of Pink Floyd's greatest hits and most beloved rarities by some of the most talented and knowledgeable musicians in their field - Joe Pascarell (guitar, vocals), Todd Cohen (drums), Ryan Ball (bass, vocals), and Scott Chasolen (keys, vocals). The quartet has consistently displayed a breath-taking ability to excite crowds and thrill even the most demanding of hard-core Pink Floyd fans.
Tickets for The Machine range from $34.00 to $49.00. Purchase tickets by visiting www.thenewtontheatre.com or contact the Box Office at 973-383-3700.
