Yoga festival set for Labor Day weekend

Vernon — The Hidden Valley Club will host a three-day yoga festival, Evolvefest, over the weekend of Sept. 4, 5 and 6. In observation of September as National Yoga Month, this event is intended to raise awareness of yoga’s health benefits by providing festival-goers with opportunities to learn yoga as they enjoy a weekend of live music. Evolvefest will bring together over 70 live bands on two stages. There will be camping, yoga classes and demonstrations, live painting, environmental education and healthy food vendors. EvolveFest is donating $1 of every ticket sold to Pass It Along (www.passitalong.org). The organization’s mission is to mobilize youth as community volunteer partners. Tickets are available online at www.evolvefest.org. Prices are $125 for the whole weekend, including camping. Adult day passes are available for $20, teens pay their age and children under 13 are free. Anyone over 65 can attend the festival free of charge.
