Stanhope Nissan now under new ownership
Nielsen Automotive Group, which operates four car dealerships in Sussex County, acquired the dealership in December.

Stanhope. Nielsen Automotive Group closed out 2020 with the acquisition of the Nissan dealership on Route 206, formerly known as Nissan of Stanhope.
The dealership, now Nielsen Nissan, officially reopened under new ownership mid-December. The auto group now operates four dealerships in Sussex County: Nielsen Ford, Franklin Sussex Hyundai, Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, and Nielsen Nissan.
General Manager Bill Snouffer said the Nielsen Nissan has a “great nucleus,” of team members that stayed with the dealership as it changed owners, and that customer satisfaction ratings were already high. Nielsen Auto Group plans to continue raising that bar.
“We’re excited about it. It’s nice to be in Sussex County and I think we do a good job taking care of the community here,” said Snouffer. “Adding Nissan only enhances our ability to further take care of the community.”
