Vernon native to marry in 2019

Greg and Cathy Decker of Highland Lakes are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Elizabeth Decker of Richmond, Va., to Scott Alexander Pierce of Richmond, VA, son of Stephen and Darlene Pierce of Montpelier, VA.
The bride-to-be graduated from Vernon HS in 2008 and The College of New Jersey in 2012 with a BS in Chemistry. She completed her graduate studies at Duke University School of Medicine and is currently employed at VCU Medical Center in Richmond.
The groom-to-be graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 2010 and Longwood University in 2014 with a BS degree in Kinesiology. He is an Organ Placement Specialist at UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) in Richmond VA.
An April 2019 wedding at the Hollyfield Manor in VA is planned.
